Buyer Education - Buy It Now on eBay

Buy It Now is the simplest way to buy on eBay. It allows you to buy an item when you want it, at a known set price. There are two types of eBay listings that may have a Buy It Now price:

Items that have a bid price and a Buy It Now price -- you can choose to place a bid and compete in the online auction or use Buy It Now to purchase the item immediately.
Items that have a Buy It Now price only (no bidding) -- you can purchase the item right away.

Step 1: Look for items with a Buy It Now price. You can easily identify Buy It Now items on category browse pages or in your search results. If you're only looking for Buy It Now items, click the Buy It Now tab on search results or browse pages.

Step 2: Ready to buy? First, check the Buy It Now price of the item. This is the price you'll pay for the item, but you'll also want to know the postage cost and any other additional costs that may be listed in the item description.

Important: For Buy It Now items that have both a bid price and a Buy It Now price, the Buy It Now price will disappear once a bid is placed. So act quickly!

Step 3: Next, click the "Buy It Now" button.
