Tips for successful postage

These postage tips are designed to help you ship like a pro. Please also visit our Export Centre for more useful tips on selling internationally.

Package your items carefully
Make sure your item will arrive safely by packing it safely and securely before you send it. Use a sturdy box that's the right size, make sure to include enough packing material, and tape it securely. Find out more about packaging items.

Post quickly
Buyers typically want their items quickly, so the faster you can get your items posted, the happier your buyers will be. Consider offering a 1-day handling time, and tell your buyer when an item posted.
Tip: By meeting certain postage conditions, you can automatically receive 5-star detailed seller rating for postage time.
Print postage labels at home
You can print postage labels and custom forms right from your home printer. Look for the Print Postage Label link in the listing or on the Order details page. Learn more about creating and printing your own postage labels.
Save time and hassle
If you’re not sure, check our Excessive Shipping Policy. You can check the actual cost of posting your item directly from SingPost or Fedex.

Provide tracking or Delivery Confirmation information
Purchase Delivery Confirmation when you create and print a postage label on eBay or PayPal. When you use an expedited postage service like Priority Mail, tracking information is automatically included. You can also upload your own tracking or Delivery Confirmation information in My eBay.

Generate repeat business.
Include a business card or note with your eBay user ID to thank your buyer for their business.
