How do I offer free postage?

Attract more buyers and get higher placement in search results by offering free postage.

You can offer free postage by following these steps:

  • In the Sell your item form, select Flat: Same cost to all buyers or Calculated: Cost varies by buyer location.

  • Select a shipping service from the Services drop-down menu.

  • Select the Free Postage checkbox.

If you're using a listing tool that doesn't have the Free Postage checkbox, specify your postage cost as "0."

Note: If you select the Free Postage check box, this will set handling costs to "0" for your buyers when they select free postage.

Your listing will appear in search results with the word "Free postage" prominently displayed.

If you offer free postage in your listing—and we can confirm the buyer did not pay for postage—you'll automatically receive a 5-star rating on your postage and handling charges detailed seller rating.
