How do I enter the eBay.ph Fashion Challenge 2008 Contest? |
A. |
You must form a Team with another Participant.
Your Team must consist of 2 participants in total, one a "Stylist"
and the other a "Model".
You must then visit the Contest Microsite containing the online
registration form at http://www.ebay.ph/fashionchallenge2008
and register for the Contest on behalf of your Team, using each
team members' eBay user ID, and enter the required personal
contact information and eBay email address of each Team member.
You must also submit the following via the Microsite by 15 August 2008: |

one (1) recent photograph of each Team member (your photograph must properly denote which Team member is the Model and which is the Stylist). Photographs should be approximately sized as 800 x 600 pixels, in JPG format and should not exceed 300kb; and |

a 250-word write-up about how your fashion sense is an expression of your unique personalities and characters. |

Who can take part in this Contest? |
A. |
This Contest is only open to all persons who are over the age of 18 years and are registered undergraduates, post-graduates or college students currently studying in the University of Philippines (UP). Employees of eBay or its associated companies, suppliers, distributors, agents and their immediate family members, and persons whose account with eBay have been temporarily or indefinitely suspended or made inactive by eBay at the end of the Contest Period, are not eligible to enter the Contest. |

How do I qualify for this contest? |

To qualify for entry into this Contest, you must, at the time of entry: |

How do I know if I have been selected as a Finalist? |

Finalists will be announced on the Microsite. You will also be contacted via the personal contact information or eBay email address provided in your submitted online registration form. Please ensure all information is correctly entered. |

How does the eBay.ph Fashion Challenge Contest work? |
A. |
After 8 Teams (Finalists) have been selected, each Team will be given two to three weeks and PHP 5,000 shopping budget in the form of GCash to shop on http://www.ebay.ph.
At least one of the Team members from each Team must be a registered GCash user in order to receive the shopping budget. Learn how to sign up for a GCash account here.
At least one of the Team members from each Team must be a registered PayPal user. Learn more about PayPal here. You can sign up for a PayPal account here.
A briefing/demo session will be held with the 8 Teams on how to use http://www.ebay.ph to find great shopping deals. Each Team will need to purchase a full outfit on http://www.ebay.ph, including clothes, shoes and other accessories (such as jewellery, belts, stockings, etc), according to an allocated theme.
After the purchases have been completed, each Team must submit a photograph featuring the Model in the eBay purchased outfit, and styled by the respective Stylist by 5 September 2008. Photographs should be approximately sized as 800 x 600 pixels, in JPG format and should not exceed 300kb.
Each Team must account for the shopping budget by submitting the list of items they have purchased on http://www.ebay.ph, with item descriptions, item numbers and item prices. Key criterion for the use of this budget is that each finalist should make use of at least 80% of the budget to purchase the outfit on http://www.ebay.ph.

Can my friends / relatives vote for me if I am participating in the contest? |

Yes! Your friends, relatives and the eBay community will be invited to participate in a Poll from 11 to 17 September 2008 to let us know which Team they think has done the best job in terms of creative use of the shopping budget and styling of the Model in the eBay purchased outfit.
Votes can be made via the Microsite and should be based on "before"
and "after" photographs uploaded
on the Microsite. |

How will the Finalists' be judged?
|
A. |
The Finalists will compete in a Fashion Show to be held on 18 September 2008 at Fiamma, a bar and restaurant located at 32 Jupiter St. cor. Astra St., Bel-Air, Makati. During the Fashion Show, each of the Finalists Models will showcase their eBay purchased outfit and be styled by their respective Stylist. There will be a panel of judges, comprising eBay.ph style ambassador Jolina Magdangal as well as representatives from the eBay, UP and Shu Uemura, a top Japanese cosmetics brand (which you can find out more about from its website at http://www.shuuemura.com), who will allocate scores based on a fixed set of criteria. |

The top 3 winners will be selected based on the following criteria: |

30% of the final score will be based on voting results from the Poll; and |

70% of the final score will be based on
the panel's score. |

What are the prizes? |

First prize: PHP15,000 cash, Shu Uemura make-up workshops and products (worth PHP60,500) and a winner’s plaque for each team member. |

How will the Winners be notified and announced? |

The Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the Fashion Show.
In addition, within 7 days of the date of the Winners being determined, the details of the Winners will also be published on the announcement board of http://www.ebay.ph. |
